NAWIC supports women in construction and, as a chapter, we want to support local students in the Columbus area. The NAWIC Columbus Chapter has created a scholarship that is intended to promote diversity in the construction industry. Our Scholarship is targeted to bring diversity to a construction related degree, trade, or vocational program. Any student in a construction related major attending a college or university, with at least one semester left, or any student currently enrolled in a trade or vocational program is eligible to receive this scholarship.
Our goal for this scholarship is to help students continue their education, while promoting diversity within the construction industry. The recipients who receive this scholarship will also receive a one year Student Membership towards the Columbus NAWIC Chapter. Please click the application button below for more information on the scholarship and how to apply. Submissions for the Fall 2020 NAWIC Columbus Scholarship are due no later than Tuesday, May 18th by 11:30 PM. Submissions after this date will not be accepted. We will announce the recipients on July 1st and will recognize them at our Annual Induction Ceremony.

“I am attracted to the idea of creating something from nothing and incorporating nature and good design into the build. I also love the power of structural design and I feel in order to create great design I need to understand how to properly construct and build.”

"As I worked with a small crew of experienced volunteers to build homes [in] Marion, I found that my interest in construction continued to grow...It was through all of these experiences that I realized my passion for construction."
